To assess the recyclability and sustainability of nanotechnology based products, NanoSustain partner VTT is currently studying, in cooperation with the University of Eastern Finland, the release of nanoparticles during melting (recycling) of nano-ZnO coated glass, and the behaviour of CNTs from epoxy-CNT composites during incineration as a final treament for safe disposal.
First results will be presented at the European Aerosol Conference in Manchester (UK), 4th-9th September 2011.
