The scientific aim of the workshop is to provide up-to-date information on human exposure and adverse health effects of engineered nanomaterial (ENM), as well to highlight current and future biomedical applications of ENM including as targeted drug delivery systems and for regenerative medicine. The goal is to develop a platform for common initiatives of Italian and Swedish researchers in the field of nanotoxicology; to this end, a special session devoted to this issue is planned.
