New NanoSustain ecotoxicity studies (luminescent bacteria test according to ISO 21338) show that nanocellulose (MFC / MicroFibrillated Cellulose) is not acutely toxic but that the behaviour of these nanomaterials (e.g. agglomeration) strongly depends on the characteristics of the test suspension.
